A list of places with gluten-free breakfast in Denver.
I craved carbs almost every day during my pregnancy. Waffles? Check. Bread? Check. Pizza? Double Check. As someone with a wheat allergy, I have avoided wheat filled treats for the last ten years. The bellyache is rarely worth the taste.
But, as most pregnant ladies will tell you, I gave into all of my pregnancy cravings (YOPO (or twice) right?!).
I spent almost my entire third trimester in Colorado. I had a lot of catching up to do with friends and family before baby arrived, and I was so happy to find a ton of restaurants with gluten-free breakfast menus in Denver. And, I am not talking about menus calling out items that never had gluten (like omelets), I am talking about restaurants whipping up gluten-free pancakes, waffles, and toast! Gluten-free diners rejoice!
Original Pancake House
I discovered the Original Pancake House in Fort Collins. I went in assuming I would have to eat eggs, while everyone else enjoyed pancakes. Much to my surprise, the Original Pancake House offers nearly all of their pancakes in gluten-free. The gluten-free pumpkin pancakes are to die for. I head to the Original Pancake House any chance I get, and even brought a to go order home with me the last time I ate there. The Original Pancake House has two locations in Denver; Cherry Hills and Denver Tech Center.
Root Down is one of my favorite places to eat at DIA (located in the C Concourse). They have a location in Denver that serves Brunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Denver location’s menu changes seasonally but currently offers gluten-free Vietnamese almond pancakes. The DIA Rootdown serves brunch daily and has a ton of gluten-free options, including waffles and sweet-potato pancakes. This is also my favorite place to get a pre-flight mimosa (obviously skipped this tradition when I was pregnant). And, the last reason to love Root Down is their food is organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients, some of which is grown in their onsite garden.
Snooze is one of the most popular places to have breakfast in Denver. I (happily) waited 20 minutes for a table here on a weekday. Snooze has four locations in Denver, one in Boulder, and one in Fort Collins. The online menu does not show gluten-free options, but I enjoyed gluten-free pancakes when I ate here.
Just BE Kitchen
Looking for someplace to eat breakfast where EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten-free? Well, look no further than Just Be Kitchen. The menu here is 100% gluten-free, grain-free, and refined-sugar free! Located on 15th street in Denver, Just BE Kitchen also offers online ordering!
I was shocked to find such a big gluten-free menu at Le Peep. There are six locations around the Denver metro area, one in Boulder, and one in Longmont. After coming here once and finding so many options, I returned multiple times during my stay in Colorado. I enjoyed everything on the gluten-free menu that I tried. My favorite was the waffles, simply because I have the hardest time making crispy-gluten free waffles at home.
A Few More Gluten-Free Breakfast Restaurants in Denver
I did not have a chance to make it to all of the gluten-free restaurants that serve breakfast in Denver, but here are some other highly rated options:
